“I thought he dropped out of the race.”
“That tells me you’re getting your information from the mainstream media. No, he’s still in the race. He just isn’t spending millions of dollars on campaigning.”
“It still doesn’t matter. He’s a flake.”
“So, you think cutting spending, bringing our troops home, downsizing the government, having a balanced budget and returning to constitutional principals is--- flaky?”
“Still doesn’t matter. He’ll never get the nomination. He doesn’t have enough delegates.”
“Are you sure? Have you read any articles about how his supporters are going from state to state picking up all those delegates? Do you think it’s strange that the media isn’t adding those to his tally and deducting them from the other candidate?”
“And the way they are doing it? They’re causing riots and stealing the delegates.”
“No, they are playing by the GOP’s own rules, just like Regan did. And if you think they’re the one’s throwing the punches…. just watch the videos. They’re on YouTube…. see for yourself.”
“But he wants to do away with Social Security.”
“Like I said, you’ve been watching the mainstream media--- they’re lying. Social Security stays in place. Young people have the opportunity to opt out immediately and the money saved on bringing our troops home and cutting the size of government will be used to pay back what’s been stolen out of Social Security for last thirty-five years.”
“But he wants to legalize drugs and prostitution.”
“How long has prostitution been around? Maybe it’s time to tax it.”
“But the drugs!”
“Same there. We’re spending billions on the drug war--- and where has it gotten us? Are there fewer drugs? No. And just like alcoholism--- drug abuse is an illness. Should we be putting people in jail just because they’re sick? Would you put a cancer patient in jail? Again tax the drugs. Take the money we’re spending on the drug war and the taxes collected from legalized drugs sales, then spend it to help the people with the addictions. And instead of spending $57,000 a year for each person who is prison for non-violent drug crimes--- turn ‘em loose and save more money. Prisons are privatized now anyway, and making someone rich---and it’s not the taxpayers. Look, it’s his stance. Let me correct that, it is the constitutional stance --- the government has no right to dictate what you or I can or can’t put into our body as long as it is not hurting another person, whether it’s drugs or raw milk.”
“But drugs will become rampant.”
“Come on… they already are. Let me ask you this, if drugs were made legal today are you going to go out tomorrow and start snorting cocaine or shooting up heroine?
“No.”
“Then what makes you think everybody else will?”
“But what about our kids?”
“Whadda ya mean? Be a parent. Set an example!”
“But he’s crazy. I heard he wants to do away with the Department of Education.”
“Yes, he does. You are one hundred percent right! He supports home schooling with tax credits and local community management of schools. Think about it. Back in the 1950’s when the federal government got involved, the cost of education skyrocketed and the quality of education has plummeted. What are we paying for? This country spends more than any other developed nation on education and just last year out of 33 developed countries we ranked 33rd, dead last in reading, 27th in math and 22nd in science. Throwing federally regulated taxpayer dollars—our dollars--- at the problem hasn’t worked in the past. What make you think it is going to get any better in the future? The federal government is not the solution. Get education back on the local level. We can’t do any worse than dead last.”
“But what about the cuts in military spending? We won’t be able to protect the country!”
“Yes we will. He wants to cut military spending but not defense spending. He has more financial supporters from the active military than all the other candidates combined. They understand exactly what he’s proposing. Look at our military—we have over 900 bases in 60 different countries. How much does that cost? And why are we the police of the world? We need to be in a position to defend our country, not impose our will on other countries. Why do you think the people in other countries hate us so much? And the wars are not even declared wars. That takes an act of congress. The people wouldn’t have supported any of the wars since World War II, and those in power knew it. These wars have been enacted by authority of President without congressional approval. That’s unconstitutional. Look, right now we are spending trillions overseas that we could be spending here. We’re building roads in the dessert and blowing up those same roads up the next day. Does that make sense? We could use that money to rebuild our own infrastructure and then turn the maintenance over to private industry in the U.S. and create jobs.”
“But he supports Gay marriage.”
“There you go again. He does not. He believes in the constitution. It is not the federal government’s place to define marriage. The states can if they want to, but not the federal government. And he actually thinks it’s wrong at the state level too. Marriage is an agreement between partners. It’s no one else’s business who you marry. And why should anyone have to pay a tax to get married? That’s what the license fee is, a tax. If you need a contract, go to an attorney. If you want to have your marriage license recorded, go ahead, pay the fee. He personally believes marriage is between one man and one woman. He has been married to the same woman for over 50 years. He stands for liberty. It’s about the constitution, and it’s about individual freedom. It’s about individuals having the choice--- and it’s about taking responsibility for our choices.”
“But what about ending the Federal Reserve, that’s absolutely crazy!”
“Is it? In the candidates own words, ‘Imagine that parents, overwhelmed by debt and months behind on their bills, sent their spendthrift teenagers out each weekend for a night on the town with credit cards and blank checks. Would anyone be surprised if this family never got their finances under control?’ Besides, he wouldn’t do away with the Fed immediately anyway. He actually wants to do a full audit to see where the money is going. Especially after the meltdown--- he pushed for a limited audit and it finally passed. And now, 167 congressmen are also asking for a full audit. Why? Because they were blown away when they discovered the Fed sent billions of dollars overseas to shore up other economies. They sent billions of our taxpayer dollars to other countries! Did you hear that in the mainstream media? You are aware of the fact that the Fed is not a part of the U.S. government aren’t you? The Fed is privately owned and in business to make money for its owners—a few very wealthy families. If an audit reveals the Fed has been playing fast and lose with taxpayer money unconstitutionally--- since 1913, it should be shut down. He believes the Department of Treasury should be the one handling the taxpayers dollars instead of a private bank, which, by the way, the federal government has no control over. As it is now, the treasury just hands over taxpayer money to the Fed, and those fat cats can do whatever they want with it. Shouldn’t the taxpayers at least know where their money is going and how it is being spent?”
“I had no idea. But everything is so crazy. The world is crazy. I just don’t know.”
“I agree. Everything has gotten crazy. Our government has gotten out of control—to big. Too many laws. Did you know, right now, today, if you post something on the internet that is considered anti-government, you can be considered a terrorist and taken away, locked up and held without charges---forever? Think about it. Any one of us can be imprisoned forever without a trial. The amendment that was just passed--- it didn’t change a thing. Our very own government is spying on us. They are torturing people. This is not the America I grew up in. It’s just like Nazi Germany. We just can’t keep giving up our liberty and our freedoms. We have to get back to a constitutional government. We have to have real change if we are going to survive as a nation. This is the only candidate that stands for that real change. He has stood strong on these very same issues for thirty years. Finally, people are starting to listen. We the people need to study and research the issues. We need to use the internet because the mainsteam media is controlled by the corrupt fat cat’s who want to keep the status quo and steal from the poor. We can do it. We can change things. We have to educate ourselves so we quit making the same stupid mistakes. Do you agree that our current government is corrupt?”
“Yes.”
“Exactly. It has been corrupted by the wealthy elite who buy the legislation they want from our politicians at the cost of our freedom and our liberty. The time is NOW for a bloodless revolution or else in the very near future….”
“BUT I DON’T CARE! I’M NOT INTO POLITICS!”
“That cool. One day you will be.”
